. How did national rivalries and the search for wealth shape the founding of Jamestown and the growth of Virginia? Write your re
Setler [38]

Jamestown was the first American Colony, the British settled there 13 years before the Pilgrims landed in Plymouth - Massachusetts. Jamestown colony was sponsored by the Virginia Company of London, because of that a group of investors wanted to profit - search for wealth - then when they settled in the Colony, they started to plant tobacco around 1613.

The tobacco industry pushed the growth of the Virginia colony because it’s growth demanded a lot of hand-workers.

For the religion, the investors of the Virginia Company were members of the Church of England - Protestantism - Therefore, Protestantism was the religion in Jamestown and became the prominent religion in Virginia.

5. What change was often seen in the physical arrangement of plantations after the Civil War
jekas [21]

After the Civil War (1861-1865), the land was divided into small parcels and started to be rented or sharecropped. At that time slavery was condemned, so former slaves became those sharecroppers who rented the land of plantations in order to stand for a living by producing and sharing the crops. The owners or the new sharecropped demolished slaves’ old housing and built new ones near the main house. Besides, owners had to start paying taxes in cash which produced an impoverishment of plantations.

C. Government programs discouraging stagflation.

The Islamist regime in Iran took U.S. hostages from 1979 to 1981.

Lastly, the United States did not support Communist regimes, which were supported by the Soviet Union.
