History

In the Soviet Union, propaganda was used extensively in order to spread the dominant Marxist-Leninist ideology and to promote support for the Communist Party. During the government of Stalin, it became present everywhere, including in the social and natural sciences taught at school.

All published items were not only subject to censorship if they contained undesirable information, but they were also edited to promote particular views. The figure of Stalin was greatly idealized. He was presented as a benevolent, protective father figure and a hero of the Revolution.

Any deviation from ideology could be punished by execution and labor camps, as well as punitive psychiatry and loss of citizenship.

Propagandas used by Joseph Stalin to control his people was that he distributed images that depicted him as a benevolent father.

Further Explanations:

Joseph Stalin was a Georgian politician who served as “General Secretary” of the “Communist Party” from1922 to1952. Despite leading the Soviet Union as a collective leader he established a totalitarian administration and declared himself its dictator during the 1930s.Through his administration, he was able to establish an integrated command economy with steady industrial development and rural collectivization. Being a Marxist devoted to Leninist elucidation of Marxism, he framed his own approach of Stalinism.

During the era of his governance, Marxist-Leninist ideologies were prevalent everywhere in the society. The ideologies were taught in school also. All the publications of the nations were censored and were compelled to publish articles promoting views of Stalinism. Stalin idealized himself as a benevolent and father figure of the country. He used full authority to propagate his propaganda in the Soviet Union. He can be considered as a true dictator as he wanted to make his presence felt everywhere and in every individual of the nation.

Serga [27]
The Mona Lisa is one of the most famous artworks in the history of art. Leonardo da Vinci was the one who painted it. Some say it was a painting of Lisa Gherardini (just learned this in my Western Civ Class). The exact date in which Da Vinci started painting this picture is unknown however it is believed that he started painting the Mona Lisa around 1503 and completed around 1517. Hopefully this helps.
