1. Gilgamesh is praised in the prologue for his wisdom, his bravery and because he engraved the story (Gilgamesh's epic) on stone.
2. Gilgamesh and Enkidu struck giant Humbaba three times with their swords, attacked the cedars, and so the seven splendors of Humbaba were extinguished.
3. In the palace of Irkalla, the dead play the role of the gods they once were.
4. The prologue suggests that the Mesopotamian valued bravery , writing and tales.
5.The conflict that could arise from Gilgamesh being two-thirds a god and one third a man is arrogance. He could get cocky if he does whatever he wants, kill whoever he wants and no suffer a scratch.
6. Gilgamesh doesn't want to die and leave his people to kill Humbaba.
7. Without Enkidu, Gilgamesh couldn't have killed Humbaba.
8. In the end of the section there is a simile. It contributes to create an angry and threatening.
