In fact, if we think about it on a personal level, we do not even view television as "always" positive. However, it can be proven that advancements in news print and the penny papers did help promote literacy among all classes in America. Radio did excel as a medium that provided outstanding entertainment for the masses. America does frequently pride itself on its leadership role in technological advancement.
