In ΔABC, ∠C = 90°, ∠A = 50° and AB = 3 unit.

To find the value of BC.

Formula:

By Trigonometric Ratio we get,

$sin \ \theta=\frac{opposite}{Hypotenuse}$

Now,

With respect to θ = 50°, AB is the hypotenuse and AB is the opposite side.

So,

$sin \ 50^{\circ}=\frac{BC}{AB}$

$sin \ 50^{\circ}=\frac{BC}{3}$

     $BC = 3 \times sin 50^{\circ}$

     $BC = 2.298 = 2.3$ (approx)

Hence,

The value of BC is 2.3 units.
