The awful consequences of the war in the trenches were that:

1.- Soldiers saw the moment when other soldiers died, causing heavy pain big trauma.

2.- Shell-shock for being so many months or years in combat.

3.- The infectious of the wounds were contagious to other wounded soldiers.

4.- The trenches were an unhealthy place with the dead bodies, sometimes with rats and insects. So the risk of diseases was always present.

Trench war was one of the most traumatic moments in the history of war due to the prolonged time the soldiers spent in the trenches, living all of those moments of anguish, fear, pain, and death.
