I have a reading assignment for the story Raisin In The Sun. I need to write a reflection for the following prompts, each reflec

tion needs to be between 100 and 150 words. Preferably done by May 27th, although I may get an extension on that deadline.
The conflicts of this play occur between ages, between sexes, and between generations. Analyze how generational gaps cause tension in this play. Use examples of some conflicts that arise from an older generation not understanding the ways of a younger generation, or vise-versa. How does this conflict contribute to the overall drama of the play?

Reflect on Mama's line, "they frightens me, Ruth. My children." Look at the situation from everyone's perspective. Do you think that Mama has a reason to "fear" her children, or what her children are becoming? Or is she simply overreacting, or perhaps behind in the times?

The plan sounded fun, rent water skis and have Gary
Crank

Completely unrelated, but that is a great sentence, I want that painted as a quote on my wall.

Also, the punctiation seems right to me. But you might be able to use a ";" instead of a comma, im gonna check that real quick.

What makes this excerpt from Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens an example of direct characterization? The elderly female was a wom
insens350 [35]

Direct characterization is when the author specifically tells the reader the traits of a character. In this excerpt, Dickens tells you that the woman is elderly, wise, experienced and knows what is "good for children". If Dickens had used indirect characterization, he would have need to shown her wisdom and experience by including specific examples. The reader would then be lead to develop his own conclusion about the whether or not the woman was wise and experienced.
