You need to re-look at number

9.  The car went 4 meters in 4 seconds, so the speed would be 1 meter/sec.

10. To get an average you have to take all 3 data entries and add them together then divide by 3 (the amount of entries).  In this one, they were trying to be a little tricky by saying 2 hours at 40 km each.  The total is 3 hours, so we'll divide by 3 to get km/hour.  Let's do it!

80 + 40 + 40 = 160
160/3 = 53 1/3 km/hour

write the equation of the line that is parallel to the line y=-5/3x-2 and goes throught the point (-3,1)
max2010maxim [7]

Answer:

y = (-5/3)x - 4

Explanation:

The equation of a line with slope m that goes through the point (x1, y1) is:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)_{}

Additionally, two lines are parallel if they have the same slope.

The slope of the line y = (-5/3)x - 2 is (-5/3) because it is the number beside x.

So, the slope of our line is also -5/3.

Therefore, replacing m by -5/3 and (x1, y1) by (-3, 1), we get that the equation of the line is:

\begin{gathered} y-1=-\frac{5}{3}(x-(-3)) \\ y-1=-\frac{5}{3}(x+3) \end{gathered}

Finally, solving for y, we get:

\begin{gathered} y-1=-\frac{5}{3}x-(\frac{5}{3}\cdot3) \\ y-1=-\frac{5}{3}x-5 \\ y=-\frac{5}{3}x-5+1 \\ y=-\frac{5}{3}x-4 \end{gathered}

So, the answer is:

y = (-5/3)x - 4

What is the volume of a right rectangular prism that is 3 meters by 4.5 meters
taurus [48]

Answer:

The volume is 81 m³.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is the right rectangular prism which dimensions are:

W = 3 m , L = 4.5 m , H = 6 m

The volume of the prism:

V = W * L * H

V = 3 m * 4.5 m * 6 m = 81 m³
