Yes, 1 & 2 are correct. 3 would be explaining how you got your answers. For example, you could use number 1 and say you thought about 10 x 3 equals 30 so 3 groups with 8 left over and so on or however your thought process went.

Musya8 [376]

Answer:

78

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

First day (a) = 1

1 more pebble every subsequent day than the previous day

Tn = a + (n - 1)d

d = common difference ; difference between pebbles in two successive days = 1

n = nth day

At the end of the 12th day;

Tn = a + (n - 1)d

T(12) = 1 + (12 - 1) 1

T(12) = 1 + 11

T(12) = 12

Appling the sun if arithmetic progression formula : Sum of AP:

n/2 (a + Tn)

n = number of terms

12/2 (1 + 12)

= 78

Georgia [21]

Answer:

65.3%

Step-by-step explanation:

Binomial distribution PMF below (along with a description)

the probabilty of getting 2, 3, or 4 successes in 5 trials is just

p(2)+p(3)+p(4)

p(2)= 5C2*.4²*(1-.4)³ = .3456

p(3)= 5C3*.4³*(1-.4)²= .2304

p(4)= 5C4*.4⁴*(1-.4)=.0768

.3456+.2304+.0768= .6528
