The answer is 12....if your teacher is looking for specifics on the property I would say the commutative property of multiplication (though since this is marked Elementary school I'm not sure if you guys have gotten that far), but if your teacher just wants a general what-kind-of-problem-is-this property, I'd just put down multiplication.....4 x 3 is basic multiplication, it doesn't really fall under a property unless there's more to the problem that you didn't put down in your post :)
Hope this helps!

What is 0.04 km, 420 cm, 4,600 mm, and 4.3 meters in order from least to greatest
Paul [167]

Answer:

420 cm, 4.3 meters, 4600 mm, 0.04 km

Step-by-step explanation:

We can solve this by converting each to the same unit. I will be using meters.

0.04 km

1 km = 1000 meters

1000 meters / 1 km = 1

multiply 0.04 km by 1 = 1000 meters / 1 km , keeping the km at the bottom to cross out

0.04 km * 1000 meters / 1 km = 40 meters

420 cm

100 cm = 1 meter

1 meter / 100 cm = 1

multiply 420 cm by this, keeping cm at the bottom so it crosses out

420 cm * 1 meter / 100 cm = 4.2 meters

4600 mm

1000 mm = 1 meter

1 meter / 1000 mm = 1

4600 mm * 1 meter / 1000 mm = 4.6 meters

Therefore, our order is

420 cm, 4.3 meters, 4600 mm, 0.04 km
