Answer:

x = 0.606

Step-by-step explanation:

Data provided in the question:

rate of transmission is proportional to x^{2}ln(\frac{1}{x})

or

rate of transmission, R = C[x^{2}ln(\frac{1}{x})]

here, C is the proportionality constant

Now,

for point of maxima

differentiating the function with respect to 'x'

R' = \frac{d(C[x^{2}ln(\frac{1}{x})])}{dx}

using the product rule, we get\

R' = C[-2x^{1}\ln\left(x\right)-x^{1}]

or

R' =  C[-x^{1}\left(2\ln\left(x\right)+1\right)

Now,

R' = 0         [for point of maxima]

OR

C[-2x^{1}\ln\left(x\right)-x^{1}] = 0

or

-x²¹ = 0 or  \left(2\ln\left(x\right)+1\right) = 0

or

ln(x) = \frac{-1}{2}

or

x = 0.606

Since,

0 < x < 1

Hence,

accepted value of x = 0.606

G = {(5, 3), (2, 3), (6, 4)} Is G-1 a function and why?
galben [10]
To get G^-1 all we need to do is flip the points around Example for (5,3) make it (3,5)
Here are the points in inverse (3,5); (3,2); (4,6)
To tell if a group of point can be a function we need to 1st look at the x values.  If all the x values are different, then it is a function (the x's are not all different)
If there are x values that are the same, they MUST have the same y value.
look at the points (3,5) and (3,2) those have the same x but they go to different y values so it is not a function.

You can think about it like this.  Can you go to more than 1 place at the EXACT same time?  Obvious answer is no. Can you have multiple people go to the same room?  Sure that is possible.  Same with functions.  An x value can ONLY go to 1 y value, and many different x values can go to the same y value.

The area of the parallelogram is 273 square units. What is the height of the parallelogram? ____units
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

h = 13 units²

Step-by-step explanation:

The way to find the area of a parallelogram is to multiply the length of one side (21) and multiply it by the height:

A = l*h

We know the area and the length:

273 = 21*h

Now we solve for height.

273/21 = (21*h)/21

273/21 = h

273/21 = 13

h = 13 units²

For the expression, use a property to write an equivalent expression, tell which property you used. Please help, and thank you :
raketka [301]
What about if you use the distributive property? You could do 1(x+13) because the 1 would distribute to the x and the 13 making it x+13. Hope that is helpful.
