Factor the polynomial 16b^4+30b^3-12b^2

Mathematics
1 answer:
Lelu [443]3 years ago
4 0

Answer:

2b²(8b²+15b-6)

Step-by-step explanation:

16b^{4}+30b³-12b²

2b²(8b²+15b-6)

This is not further factorable. If you want to find the roots, you'd have to use the quadratic formula for the polynomial in the parentheses. Therefore that is our final answer.

16. x + 8
Studentka2010 [4]

Step-by-step explanation:

Taking value of x= 4

16. 4 + 8 = 12

17. 24 ÷ 4 = 6

18. 3(4+4) = 3 × 8 = 24

19. 5 × 4 = 20

20. 30 - (5 × 4) = 30 - 20 = 10

21.( 2 × 4 )+ 5 = 8 + 5 = 13

22. 4 + 1 = 5

23. 25 × 4 = 100

24. 60 × 4 = 240

25. (25×4) + 10 = 100 + 10 = 110

What is the least common denominator of 1/4, 3/7, 1/11
inna [77]
Alright. One way you can do this is to list multiples of each denominator:

1/4:
4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36...... and so on

3/7:
7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 57, 63......

1/11;
11, 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 88......

Keep going until you see the least common denominator!

Now an easier way to do this is by multiplying all of the numbers in the denominator then get the factors:

4*7*11 = 308

And since those are not divisible by a whole number (besides 4 but 308 won't be divisible by 2*7*11)

Therefore 308 is the least common denominator.

Write your own word problem and share it with the group. Then translate your problem into its resulting math equation. What step
Ainat [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

Word Problems are mathematical problems presented in complete languages, rather than in mathematical notations.

Example:

A certain number is divided by half, the result is added to itself to give 6, what is the number?

Solution:

- Let the number be x

- Divide x by half:

In word problem, extra caution is to be taken, as misinterpretation can be very chaotic. Dividing a number by 2, is totally different from dividing the number by half.

4 divided by 2 is 4÷2 = 2

4 divided by half is 4÷½ = 4×2/1 = 8

2 and 8 are different, reason to be cautious.

So dividing x by half, we have:

x ÷ 1/2 = x × 2/1 = 2x.

- Now, what we have is

2x + x = 6

Solving this equation, we can obtain the value of x.

2x + x = 6

3x = 6

Dividing both sides by 3

3x/3 = 6/3

x = 2.

Therefore, the solution to the word problem is x = 2.
