1/2 = 0.5

12 & 1/2 = 12 + 1/2 = 12 + 0.5 = 12.5

4 & 1/2 = 4 + 1/2 = 4 + 0.5 = 4.5

Refer to the diagram below. Note how I divided the figure into two rectangles.

The larger red rectangle is 12.5 feet by 10 feet. It has area 12.5*10 = 125 square feet.

The smaller blue rectangle has dimensions 4.5 feet by 5 feet (the 5 is from 15-10 = 5), so it has area 4.5*5 = 22.5 square feet

Now add up those individual areas to get the total area

125+22.5 = 147.5

Then convert that to a mixed number

147.5 = 147 + 0.5 = 147 + 1/2 = 147 & 1/2

<h3>The correct area is 147 & 1/2 feet</h3>

Which statement is true? The function is only increasing when x ≥ −8. The function is only increasing when x ≥ 0. The function i
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

THE FUNCTION IS ALWAYS INCREASING.

Complete question: The graph of f(x)= power of 3√x + 8 is shown.

Step-by-step explanation:

See attachment for the missing graph.

when x = -16 ; y = -2

when x = -12 ; y = -1.5

when x = -8 ; y = 0

when x = -6 ; y = 1.25

when x = 0 ; y = 2

when x = 6 ; y = 2.5

As the value of x increases, so does the value of y. Thus, the function is always increasing.

A class of 63 students is going on a field trip. They will take 9 buses. Each bus will have the same number of students. How man
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

There will be 7 students on each bus.

Step-by-step explanation:

If the class of 63 students is divided into 9 buses with the same number of students traveling in each one, to determine the number of students traveling in each bus it is necessary to perform the following mathematical calculation:

63/9 = X

7 = X

Thus, in each bus 7 students will travel, and in this way all buses will carry the same number of students.
