My First Day on the Job

English

The central idea is: A job may be perfect for you even though you have trouble finding it.

How can we make this inference?

  • the writer states that s/he spent a lot of time preparing for job applications
  • throughout the passage, we find hints that finding a job in the industry is challenging. For example the writer states: <em>By the time I began the search for my first full-time job, the job market was in bad shape. During my first few months looking for a job, I sent out countless resumes and only had one interview.</em>
  • In the end, the writer is satisfied with the job and finds out that it has positive aspects.

Conclusion: The writer had trouble finding a good job but ultimately found an appropriate one.

  • The central idea of the passage is: A job may be perfect for you even though you have trouble finding it.
  • When the narrator starts her job search, she experienced some trouble in finding it, since she sent countless resumes and only had one interview.
  • Even though she was an inexperienced reporter, she knew from the beginning she wanted to be a writer, but she did not know what kind of writer she wanted to be.
  • But in the end, she unexpectedly realizes her first "real job" was perfect in comparison to that of the people who ran the schools: <em>"I learned so much about what goes into keeping a school’s doors open and all the work that goes into offering students a solid education. It made me think that my new job as a reporter was going to be easy in comparison." </em>
  • She also expresses that her job as a reporter was perfect because, she would be able to write every day despite the fact that she did not know anything about reporting.
  • In sum, one may experience some constraints in finding the best job, but in the end, if people is patient enough and aware of what they really like, the perfect job can come to your life when you less expect it.

What activities/habits do you practice which illustrate media and information literacy?
Svetlanka [38]

Answer and Explanation:

Media and Information Literacy (MIL) refers to our ability to access and assess information, making informed judgments concerning it, as well our ability to create and produce media and information ourselves.

The activities I practice that illustrate MIL are:

1. On a daily basis, I access online content related to news and events, both national and international;

2. I then assess the information obtained by looking up different sources, comparing the details, and searching for comments and opinions to help me form my own judgment;

3. I use social media to express my ideas and opinions concerning different subjects and events.

whats your opinion for teens having a phone. plz, give your own opinion. will award brainiest for the best answer.
sweet-ann [11.9K]

Answer:

I think that teens should have phones

Explanation:

This is a good thing because it allows kids to be in touch with their parent or gaurdian so they know how they will get home or if they are in sports or something that takes planning. I also think that this is a good idea because it can allow kids to keep up with grades to where they could get notifacations and see if they have missing assignments! It could also help them get help if in a bad situation! For example, if there is a fire or an accident that happened, they would be able to call for help. Having a cell phone could also help your kid to have responsabilites.

Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck!
