Why is Abraham Lincoln’s “A House Divided” speech considered to be a seminal American text?

The answer is: D. It was about an important issue.

The speech did not have n official name given by Lincoln, however it is known as “A House Divided” speech for the metaphor he uses at the beginning of the speech "A house divided against itself cannot stand" from the bible, he was talking about the civil war that was about to explode for the divided thought about slavery of the time.
