4. Solon: He was chosen as an Athenian statesman with reformation powers. He is celebrated and best remembered for his efforts in creating laws that countered the economic, political, and moral downfall which was experienced by archaic Athens. 5. Nobles: They are lofty, financially well-to-do citizens who carried much power within the communities. Nobility is granted by the King, and just like monarchy, succession is hereditary.
