Answer:

Antigone’s death causes the audience to feel animosity towards Creon.

Explanation:

The tragedy "Antigone" written by Sophocles tells the story of how a sister's love for her brother and respectfully giving him a decent burial led to her own death. This tragic story of Antigone shows how far law outpaces the feelings of family and duty.

Antigone's two brothers Eteocles and Polyneices had fought and killed each other. The new king Creon allowed the first brother Eteocles a proper burial but accuses Polyneices of being a traitor so must not be given the same respect. He had also decreed that whoever dares to busy him properly must also be put to death. Antigone had chosen to bury his brother's dad body, for she values family ties and duties more than she respects the law of the land. So, when the king learned what she had done, she was killed. Her death causes us, the readers and audiences, to feel a sense of animosity toward the king, Creon.
