Let's say that the cost of the solar panel installation is 12,500 and the Reyes family pays 200 a month for electricity. in 40 years the Reyes family would have saved a lot of money on electricity.

f(480)=200(480) - 12,500

the Reyes family would save

83,500$ in 40 years.

Nearly 50% of water sources in the United States are believed to be polluted.
true or false?
grin007 [14]
True, however 50% is rather optimistic value, it's probobally more. The main source of water is in the ground and the groundwater gets constantly more contaminated with road salt, oil, gasoline and other chemicals (and as you can see, these are all manmade products).

Plants in the Namib Desert have developed and adaptation that allows them to get their water from
Yakvenalex [24]

The correct answer is - the air.

The Namib Desert is one of the driest places on the planet and that is due to the cold and dry ocean currents alongside the southwestern part of Africa which are not providing the right conditions for precipitation to occur.

Even though there's no rain, because the Namib Desert is very hot, and the ocean currents very cold, the end result is mist that appears every morning, as well as dew.

The plants living in this desert have evolved in accordance to the conditions, so instead of being dependent on their roots for getting water, they get the majority of the water through their leafs and skin, directly from the air.
