Read the poem below and answer the question.
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

Ignorance is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Emily Dickinson was an American poet, whose figure and role in literature is as important as Poe's and Whitman's. Even though she was a prolific poet, the vast majority of her works saw the light after she died.

In the poem, we can see the word darkness or dark in four out of five stanzas. The word has always been related to ignorance, being light the opposite and a synonym for knowledge. In the poem, we can see how the speaker mentions darkness as a natural part of life, such as ignorance, when she mentions that We grow accustomed to the Dark. In the third stanza, the speaker relates this darkness to evenings of the Brain, relating that part of the day to uncertainty and ignorance. In the fourth stanza, the speaker puts in the same level learning and the ability to see, contrasting these elements to darkness (where nothing can be seen or understood). In the last stanza, after the learning process of seeing, the speaker mentions that the Darkness alters or something in the sight/adjusts itself to Midnight, meaning that the object can gain knowledge or prefer to remain in darkness or ignorance.

As I sit through night and day at the park the wind blows in my ears how have you been?

I watch you everyday law down on me every day in happiness and sadness.

I have seen when you stumble and fall and get back up and fight though the day. Under the tree that I grew for you to cover you while you sleep on me. But I have begun my suffering your kind have hurt me to my core.

They break my beautiful trees that I gave to you and they refuse me.

I have been broken apart with your people with your kind help me.

Tell them that I have my whole heart for them, but they must stop hurting me. I have given to your kind everything they need but they refuse to stop. You are my only hope help me to stop your kind from taking my beauty away from me. With your brave heart and soul, you can make a difference to my life. As I heard the wind howl in my ears, I got up to make a difference to my best friend. Who had kept me company through my times of need now it my turn to help him from suffering. I was going to change my peoples mind to leave my best friend, my home planet earth from suffering .
