Historically US did not treat Native Americans with the same attitude as it did with other foreign countries. The colonists initially got help from Native Americans when they first arrived. But when they expanded their territories, they began hostile actions against Native Americans. They took over all of North American and left very little lands as reservations for Native. Americans.
