British rule had a positive and negative impact in the minds of the Indians and their life.

Explanation:

Improvements in the educational facilities, construction of roadways and railways and other public utility buildings, Exports and imports got improved. Trade relationships with other countries also improved. English medium of instruction was introduced.

Indians were given high positions in the British occupied government but they were oppressed with heavy taxes. Communal hatred boomed in the Indian society. The policy of divide and rule enabled partitions within the country and became the greater threat for unity during the British rule.

Answer:

Naoroji asks the British to give us justice, but I do not see much justice in my day-to-day life. Rudyard Kipling and others compare us to childish devils. How can we work with people who think of us this way? The British have brought advancements, yet too many Indians are still living in poverty.

why do you think the Sherman Antitrust Act and other attempts at regulating monopolies and trusts were not effective?
Vesna [10]
For more than a decade after its passage, the Sherman Act was invoked only rarely against industrial monopolies, and then not successfully, chiefly because of narrow judicial interpretations of what constitutes trade or commerce among states. When it was first passed, the Sherman Antitrust Act was largely ineffective at stopping industrial monopolies. Courts at the time tended to hold a very narrow view of what constituted “trade or commerce among states,” and most companies were not held liable under the act. For more than a decade after its passage, the Sherman Antitrust Act was invoked only rarely against industrial monopolies, and then not successfully. Ironically, its only effective use for a number of years was against labor unions, which were held by the courts to be illegal combinations.

How did some immigrants' desire for religious freedom lead to rebel against British rule?
bearhunter [10]

Answer:

The desire for religious freedom made some individuals reject living in the British domain, seeking to establish colonies in other territories, such as America.

Explanation:

Due to the successive changes of religion that the English monarchs imposed in the territory, the nation developed a diversity of religions of Christian base. Despite Christianity being the foundation of all of them, there was a lot of religious intolerance and persecution for those who did not follow the religious approach adopted by the current monarch.

The constant waves of persecution and intolerance made many Englishmen satisfied with their lives, regulating the English territory and seeking authorization to leave the country and immigrate to another territory, where they would be free to express their faith, as they pleased. . This immigration caused the English colonies in America to emerge and give rise to the USA and Canada.
