57.2% (246 members) of the 113th Congress are Protestant, 5.1% (22 members) are Jewish, 1.9% (8 members) are unspecified, 1.9% (8 members) are Mormon, 1.2% (5 members) are Orthodox Christian, 0.5% (2 members) are Buddhist, 0.5% (2 members) are Muslim, 0.2% (1 member) is unaffiliated with any religion, 0.2% (1 member) is Hindu, 0.2% (1 member) is Unitarian Universalist. About 98% of the members of Congress report being affiliated with a religion. Of these, 56% (247 in the House and 52 in the Senate) report being Protestant and 31% (136 in the House and 27 in the Senate) report being Catholic. The 113th Congress includes 33 members who are Jewish, 15 who are Mormon, 3 who are Buddhist, 2 who are Muslim, and 1 who is Hindu.
