I miss talking and hanging out with my best friend I remember going everywhere with him!

Why did you stop talking?

We celebrated turning 30 at the same time but hten he got a new job and moved to a new city.

I remember hearing that. Have you talked to him recently?

Yes, but I regret not calling him more often.

I imagine being far apart is difficult.

It is. I enjoy spending time with him!

Anyways. Do you want to go to the movies?

I'd love to but I need to but a new swim suit at the store.

Oh, I forgot to tell you- I bought you a new swimsuit already!

You did? You promised to save moey for our trip! THat's nice of you, but I refuse to accept it.

Answer:

A). The setting

Explanation:

Setting is characterized as the description of the 'time, place, and circumstance in which the narrative is set in and the set of events take place.'

In the given excerpt, London develops the characters Kiche and the people through displaying their responses to 'the setting' and it is reflected through the descriptions like 'Fang's sudden paralysis for an moment and scrambling due to unknown, lurking in the midst of the sticks and moss',  'at the sound, Kiche leaped snarling...raged terribly', etc.<u> which suggest that the their developments have been reflected through their cirucumstantial responses</u>. Thus, <u>option A</u> is the correct answer.

Why did support for the new deal art programs decline
bekas [8.4K]

The Works Progress Administration (WPA) programs faced strong criticism from Congress, the lay public and the press. This was the case of Federal Project Number One, which programs employed artists, writers, musicians and actors. Americans described these and other government projects as <em>"boondoggling"</em>, meaning that they were profligate or unnecessary. Franklin D. Roosevelt's enemies found this as an opportunity to attack, which led to the final censorship: the projects were cancelled.

What is the difference between contraction and compression?
White raven [17]
When you compress something you are pushing it into a smaller space. When something contracts, it gets smaller. An example of contraction is when the volume of a mass of water gets smaller as it cools.
