Compare and contrast point mutations and chromosome mutations and explain the basis for classifying a mutation as beneficial, ne
zepelin [54]
Point mutations are of two types: Substitutions of bases that are the change of one base of DNA by another. And Transitions that are replaced on a pyrrhic basis by another pyrrhic or a pyrimidine by another pyrimidine. Transversions: substitution of a pyrrhic base by another pyrimidine or vice versa. These mutations are negative because they affect only one of the nucleotides, and therefore, only one triplet of bases are affected. When the mutation does not affect the individual it is a silent mutation. Chromosomal mutations Changes in the structure of the diploid chromosomes, where one of the chromosomes has a mutation, will have another normal. They can hinder the process of meiosis in the carrier since it hinders the correct pairing of the homologous chromosomes. It would produce an unfeasible offspring or with mutations.

What are your thoughts about how the universe formed?
V125BC [204]

For centuries scientists thought the Universe always existed in a largely unchanged form, run like clockwork thanks to the laws of physics. But a Belgian priest and scientist called George Lemaitre put forward another idea. In 1927, he proposed that the Universe began as a large, pregnant and primeval atom, exploding and sending out the smaller atoms that we see today.

His idea went largely unnoticed. But in 1929 astronomer Edwin Hubble discovered that the Universe isn’t static but is in fact expanding. If so, some scientists reasoned that if you rewound the Universe's life then at some point it should have existed as a tiny, dense point. Critics dismissed this: the celebrated astronomer Fred Hoyle sarcastically called this concept the “Big Bang Theory"

Leokris [45]

Mature and established trees die for a combination of reasons but sudden browning of foliage is typically associated with a lack of water supply to the canopy. Water supply can be cut off to the canopy due to obvious issues including deficiency or root damage.

What is Carbon?

 • Carbon is a chemical component with the symbol C and atomic number It is nonmetallic and tetravalent—its atom makes four electrons unrestricted to form covalent chemical bonds. It belongs to group 14 of the periodic table. Carbon produces up only about 0.025 percent of Earth's crust.
 • Carbon is employed in some way in almost every industry around the globe. It is used for fuel in the form of coal, methane gas, and crude oil (which is used to produce gasoline). It is used to make all sorts of fabrics including plastics and alloys such as steel (a mixture of carbon and iron).
 • Carbon is a chemical element with the symbol C and atomic number 6. Categorized as a nonmetal, Carbon is a solid at room temperature.
