Answer:

A sample response follows: The current United States foreign policy of internationalism can be summed up in two words: international leadership. As the country with the most worldwide influence, the United States feels it must be a leader in promoting peace, diplomacy, democracy, and economic cooperation. Starting in 1939 when the United States breached its isolationist tendencies to help defeat the Axis’ power in World War II, the US has since become more active in the international scene. The United States is now a member of the United Nations and works cooperatively with other nations to solve critical world issues.

Strike441 [17]
The main content of the passage is to present a possible situation in which a violent leader imposes the law on the country by force ("at the point of the sword"), which presumably leads to many deaths. This was what has happened, in Paine's interpretation under William the Conqueror in England. The intention is to show that this situation is undesired in America and to encourage Americans to fight against such a government.

Burka [1]

Answer:

The answer is behaviourist.

Explanation:

The behaviourist aproach to psychology seeks to understand the motivation behind human and animal behaviour. The example describes that people will change their behaviour when there is an external motivation (probably a reward). This can be explained through an important branch of behaviourism called operant conditioning, which states that individuals are more likely to repeat an action when it is reinforced, positively or negatively.
