Based on chapter 2, Jonas generally has positive feelings for his community and how it operates. For example, he remembers Lily being assigned to his family with fondness and does not seem to question or wonder why children must be assigned to families. but more into the book and/or movie he becomes aware and isnt impressed with the community so he tries to set things straight.

I NEED A HOLIDAY POEM THAT RHYMINES!!!
aleksklad [387]

Answer:

On the night before Christmas, a child in a house,

As the whole family slept, behaved just like a mouse . . .

And crept on soft toes down red-carpeted stairs.

Her hand held the paw of her favourite bear.

The Christmas tree posed with its lights in its arms,

Newly tinselled and baubled with glittering charms;

Flirting in flickers of crimson and green

Against the dull glass of the mute TV screen

The hushed street was in darkness. Snow duveted the cars –

A stray cat had embroidered each roof with its paws.

An owl on an aerial had planets for eyes.

The child at the window stared up at the sky,

Where two aeroplanes sped to the east and the west,

Like a pulled Christmas cracker. The child held her breath

And looked for a sign up above, as the moon

Shone down like a gold chocolate coin on the town.

DIRECTIONS The following is a rough draft of a research paper about the historical background of folk songs about John Henry. Th
tia_tia [17]

The correct answer, in my opinion, is A. The question of When did the oral tradition begin? would help the writer to narrow the focus of the paper.

In the case of questions B and D they are not related to the main topic of the paper. On the contrary, one of them focuses on the steam drill and the other on the melody of folk songs, neither of which are of great importance to the main aim of the paper which is to explore the historical background of the folk songs about John Henry.

In the case of C, I consider that it is not important whether John Henry was a real person or not. It's not the point of the piece of writing to arrive at that conclusion. Yet, it is more related to the topic than the other two questions.

In order to help the writer to narrow the scope of what is written, we should focus on the goal of the paper that is to deal with the question of how folk songs about this subject have developed over time. And for that purpose, trying to trace the beginning of the oral tradition is the best option to keep focused.
