Answer and Explanation:

See the attached screenshot.  I noted particular rhythms and left repeated rhythms for you to fill in.

In this exercise, you have whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, sixteenth notes, dotted half notes, and dotted quarter notes.

All counting is using common time (4:4)

A whole note is --> 1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a

A half note is --> 1 e & a 2 e & a

A quarter note is --> 1 e & a

An eighth note is --> 1 &

A sixteenth note is --> 1

A dotted half note is --> 1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a

A dotted quarter note is --> 1 e & a 2 e

Using these counting conventions for each note, you can mark the time for each rhythm given in the exercise.  Note, the counting convention can be shifted within a measure (i.e., not everything starts on 1).

Cheers.

How many e-flats are played in this piece?
Serga [27]
I'm not sure what piece you're talking about, maybe you could include a picture of the piece
but in the treble clef the e's are on the bottom line, and top space
if it's flat it'll have a little squished 'b' next to it

a flat e is also a sharp (#) d
