Fiscal policy can decrease unemployment by helping to increase aggregate demand and the rate of economic growth. Demand side policies are critical when there is a recession and rise in cyclical unemployment.

A quick list of policies to reduce unemployment:

Monetary policy – cutting interest rates to boost Aggregate Demand (AD)
Fiscal policy – cutting taxes to boost AD.
Education and training to help reduce structural unemployment.
Geographical subsidies to encourage firms to invest in depressed areas.
Lower minimum wage to reduce real wage unemployment.
More flexible labour markets, to make it easier to hire and fire workers.

Compare how the warring countries conducted the war. In what ways were their (Axis & Allies) conducts similar and in what wa
lesya [120]

Answer:

While the Axis powers committed far worse war crimes that were more numerous than the allies, the allies including the U.K., France, United States, and Soviet Union were no stranger to these acts as well.

Explanation:

While the Axis have the Holocaust, and human experimentation by both Japan and Nazi Germany, the allies had several war crimes committed as well.

Some of these include the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan, firebombing of Dresden, and the Soviet treatment of German civilians and POWs throughout the war.

The only action that can really be justified in any way was the atomic bombs. It made Japan capitulate quickly rather than drawing out the conflict which some historians argue would have caused millions of more military and civilian casualties. It was an extremely violent, and brutal war. As are most.

Where did democracy begin? the Fertile Crescent Greek city-states the United States the Assyrian Empire
sergejj [24]

The correct answer is Greek city-states.

Democracy (from Greek: Rule by People) is a system of government where the citizens exercise power by voting and electing a government.

During the Classical period ( 5th and 4th centuries BCE ), Greece was a collection of several hundred independent city-states. The citizens of Athens were the first to develop a system of popular rule under the rule of Cleisthenes. The first democracy was a direct democracy with two features: there was a random selection of citizens to fill administrative and judicial offices, and there was a legislative assembly consisting of all Athenians citizens. All eligible citizens were allowed to vote and speak in the assembly but women, slaves and foreigners, non-landowners and men under 20 years of age were excluded.

Why has racism against Asian American increased during the pandemic ? How does a history of racism impact opinions today ? How c
olasank [31]

Answer:

Racism against Asian Americans has grown during this pandemic as a direct consequence of its origin, since Co.vid-19 has been shown to have originated in the Wuhan region, China. This fact, added to the spread of certain myths regarding the gastronomic and health customs of Asians, makes many people end up adopting a position of rejection against Asian Americans, generalizing a behavior that, in short, has not been proven to be true. The best way for these communities to defend themselves is, in the first place, to ignore these offensive comments and, if they persist, report such conduct to the authorities.
