Answer:

Option A

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that  a regular pentagon

We know that a regular pentagon is that type of figure in which is five equal sides and five equal angles.

The measure of an interior angle of  a regular pentagon=108^{\circ}

The sum of the interior angle measures of a regular pentagon=540^{\circ}

We know that sum of interior angles measures of convex or concave polygon =180(n-2)^{\circ}

n=5 then

The sum of interior angle measures of a convex pentagon =540^{\circ}

The sum of interior angle measures of a concave pentagon=540^{\circ}

Hence, the angle of measure of a interior angle of a regular pentagon is different from others.

Answer:

12s - 16t

Step-by-step explanation:

2(3s + t) + 2(3s - 9t)

6s + 2t + 6s - 18t

12s + 2t - 18t

12s - 16t

the height of a triangle is 9m less than its base. the area of the triangle is 56 m^2 find the length of the base (SHOW STEPS)
Veronika [31]
Hey there :)

We know the area formula of a triangle
\frac{1}{2} (base)(height)

We are given:
The area = 56 m²
The base = let p represent this
The height = 9 m less than the base = p - 9

Apply the formula
56 = \frac{1}{2} × ( p ) × ( p - 9 )
56 = \frac{1}{2} × ( p² - 9p )

Divide \frac{1}{2} on both sides
56 ÷ \frac{1}{2} = p² - 9p
112 = p² - 9p

Bring 112 to the other side and equate equation to 0
p² - 9p - 112

Factorise { Sum = -9 , Product = - 112 , therefore suitable factors = - 16 × 7 )
( p - 16 )( p + 7 ) = 0
     ↓          ↓
 p = 16    p = - 7  ←  Reject p = - 7 since length cannot be negative

So, the length  of the base is 16 m

Check:
56 m² = \frac{1}{2} × 16 × ( 16 - 9 )
56 m² = 8 × 7
56 m² = 56 m²

sketch a unit circle with angle instandard positionquestions:a. For what values of 0 is the sine increasing? Decreasing?b. For w
liq [111]

We can draw a unit circle as:

The sine is the vertical leg (or vertical projection) of the triangle formed by the angle.

The cosine will be the horizontal leg (or horizontal projection) of this same triangle.

The hypotenuse of this triangle will be the radius if the unit circle (r = 1).

a) The sine will be increasing from θ = 0° until it reaches its maximum at 90°.

Then it will be decreasing for angles between 90° and 270°.

Between 270° and 0° it will be increasing again.

b) The cosine has a maximum value for an angle of 0°.

It will decrease until 180°.

Then it will be increasing from angles between 180° and 360°.

c) We can see in the unit circle that the sine is 0 when the angle is one the horizontal axis, like when θ = 0° or θ = 180°.

The cosine will be equal to 0 when the angle is vertical: θ = 90° and θ = 270°.

Answer:

a) Increasing: (0°, 90°) and (270°, 360°)

Decreasing: (90°, 270°)

b) Increasing: (180°, 360°)

Decreasing: (0°,180°).

c) Sin(θ) = 0 for θ = 0° and θ = 180°

Cos(θ) = 0 for θ = 90° and θ = 270°

DaniilM [7]
The first one sqrt29 or 5.38.
The second one is 5.0

By using the distance formula to solve and thinking of the 2 points given as sides of a triangle we solve for the hypotenuse. Taking the difference in the Y values and X values give us the 2 sides and from there we can do a^2 +b ^2 is c^2 to solve for the distance between them
