What did progressives hope to achieve with political reforms?
Mila [183]

The Progressive Party hoped to accomplish several different reforms including:

1) Expansion of democratic rights- This means that the Progressives wanted to help women gain the right to vote in local, state, and national elections.

2) An efficient and well funded government- The Progressive Party heavily influenced the passage of the 16th amendment. This amendment calls for a federal income tax, allowing additional funds for the government to use for essential services.

What was groundbreaking about the development of democracy
Thepotemich [5.8K]
Options A,C and D are not correct. They are generally not necessarily correct about democracy. First, democracy usually means a written law. second, democracy does not have to do with religion. On the other hand, however, democracy does not necessarily mean councils. I still think that B is the best answer since democracy means not being ruled by an absolute ruler although the ruler can be some sort of council or Parliament.
