The Middle Colonies were known as the 'bread basket' of the colonies because of the rich soil which allowed them to farm. Families planted crops such as maize, wheat, rye, potatoes, peas, and flax. Lech Walesa called for a stop tothe public protests and offeredpeace.
1981-The communist government inPoland declared martial law,banned Solidarity, and arrestedLech Walesa.
The government released LechWalesa due to endless publicprotests.
1983- The Communist government liftedthe martial law in Poland.
1989-Pope John Paul II visited LechWalesa and gave him advice. At the same time,<span> The government lifted the ban</span>on Solidarity.
Then around 1990, Lech Walesa won the first freepresidential elections in Poland.
Lech Walesa won the NobelPeace prize.
Serfs may eventually work their way to freedom (usually not), if you know the term tenant farmers, individuals who work on a property with some believe that eventually they may pay their debts off and become a freeman. An enslaved person, will never believe that they will eventually become free.
