How did congress ensure the united state had enough troops in the war?
AVprozaik [17]
The U.S. had to make the American people understand that war was the right answer. They had to convince businesses that they would succeed and not fail during the war. The war itself, still faced opposition, but for the most part Americans supported our military in their efforts. The entry into the war, was one that was not taken lightly.

Read this introduction paragraph from a sample essay about industrialization. [1] There are many examples of revolutions in huma
Ede4ka [16]

The correct answer is nº4.

A thesis statement is used to summarize in 2-3 lines the main argument that will be developed along a much longer piece of text that usually comes right after. In this case, in nº 4 describes very broadly the most important characteristics of the Industrial Revolution (IR) period, including both some causes and consequences of this process. The new technologies that were implemented to enhance the productivity of the manufacturing activities led to new production systems, that required different type of employees and a big number of them. Industrial workers lived in cities so there was an important shift of population from rural to urban areas, that could offer more job positions than the agricultural industry in the countryside. All this meant a great change in society and in the way of life of the majority of the population in industrialized regions.

The other sentences in this introduction paragraph only mention specific aspects of the IR process. In turn, number 4 provides a relation of the main aspects that have to be commented for sure if speaking about industrialization.

How was american expansionism overseas similar to previous continental expansion westward, and how was it different? was the tak
dimulka [17.4K]

On the continental expansion, Americans pushed Native Americans off their land making deals with them that favored the US more than the tribes. After that, Americans pushed their ideas to the areas being developed trying to make Native Americans abandon their own culture.

On the expansionism overseas the US returned the land to its original inhabitants, this happened in Cuba for example. This was the main difference between expansionism inside and outside the US.

The taking of Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines was a violation of fundamental American ideals of self-government and democracy, this was actually the main argument of Anti-Imperialists. Once the US  had claimed the territory they established their own rule and define role/impact in each respective country. Conquering other territories and forcing them to abide by American ideals and culture goes against the idea of American freedom.
