Lionfish are native to the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific. What conclusions can be made about the impact of climate change

on the range of lionfish and, therefore, on biodiversity?
As ocean temperatures have increased, the range of the lionfish has changed.

As top predator, it has little competition for eating smaller fish. This reduces biodiversity.

Global warming has forced the lionfish to warmer waters where it is able to mate with the native fish to produce hybrids. This increases biodiversity.

Climate change has restricted the habitat of lionfish. It has become an endangered species, reducing biodiversity.

Lionfish thrive in high carbon dioxide environments. They produce more offspring, which can then eat all of the native species in the area. This reduces biodiversity.

The correct answer is that as the temperature have increased the range of the lionfish has changed.

The lionfish are native to the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region. The climatic change will increase the temperature of water and this will lead to the increase in the population of the fishes. As they live in tropical environment they are habitual of warm environment and some more increase in temperature will favor their growth.

Precapillary sphincters will a. cause blood to flow directly from the metarteriole into the postcapillary venule. b. control blo
DanielleElmas [232]

Answer:

Option-E

Explanation:

Meta arteriole is a type of vessel present in the micro-circulatory pathway of the human body, which possesses characteristics of both the arteriole and the capillaries.

The structure of metarteriole usually connects the arteriole to the venules and they possess smooth muscle rings at the entrance of the vessel in the capillary and thus acts as a sphincter. This sphincter controls the flow of blood into the venules and capillaries.

The precapillary sphincters are usually closed but when the tissue needs the oxygen the sphincter opens and supplies the blood.

Thus, Option-E is correct.
