It affects which products they make because of the resources they have in their region. So say that you want to start a company for building wooden ships, but if you don't have wood how would you start that company.

Well now on days most regions with abundant natural resources dont have fabrics with them they mostly sell the raw materials to other countries then they buy it back at a higher price

ex.
guatemala has a lot of bananas people in guatemala cultivate bananas and then sell it in other regions with a demand in bananas in this case to near countries like El salvador or Honduras. while a big part of products goes to a Gerber company in the USA each banana cost a few cents for USA, but later guatemala is going to buy those Gerbers for a dollar each.

but only in a few cases depending on the type of natural resources people will make their own products
in russia at the north they have a lot of trees (a lot) and people build their houses with trees their chair is made of wood they cool with wood and all that sure they wont do the same with gold.
now I guess you have an idea of what I mean.

A fundamental concept of ecology is that living organisms
Archy [21]
A fundamental concept of ecology is that living organisms are both similar to and different from each other and from nonliving things. Living things are similar in that they rely on many of the same processes to stay alive, yet are different in the ways that these processes are carried out. Non living things lack certain features of living organisms, such as the ability to maintain a cellular organization, carry out metabolic activity while maintaining internal stability (homeostasis) and pass on hereditary information through reproduction.
