Answer:

The middle colonies were Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Delaware, and were settled by Europeans.

Explanation:

They probably settled there because of the good farmland. The middle colonies were known as the "breadbasket colonies." They were known for this because they had great fertile soil, which is good for farming. Unlike the South, the middle colonies were fertile and their land was gotten more easily than in other plantations. The middle colonies had corn, wheat, and livestock such as beef and pork. They also had iron ore, lumber, textiles, furs, and shipbuilding.

I promise this isn't plagarized. I just had the same question and I used my answer for this. Hope it helps for anyone, and they are welcome to copy!

The Middle Colonies were more diverse than colonies in New England and the South. Most of the early settlers depended on the fur trade and on farming for economic survival. The most populous of the Middle colonies was Pennsylvania, other colonies were settled rather haphazardly over the course of the 17th century. Settlers usually organized themselves in small farms spread throughout the colony with a few cities added to the mix.

<span>The Middle Colonies were not as cohesive as the New England colonies because colonists in this region were not united by single religion or code of beliefs.Area dominated by larger farms than N.E., smaller than the S.; still there is an emphasis on subsistence rather than cash crops. Settlement patterns generally revolve around single family farms (around 50 -150 acres).  Again you see the predominance of servant (as opposed to slave labor) in the 17th century.  [A notable exception is in New York where you see a large number of African Americans in the colony, especially in New York city where blacks are employed in commercial settings and as dockworkers.]<span>The Middle Colonies were settled by different nationalities so there is greater emphasis on religious toleration and cultural diversity. This is especially true in the colony of New York.</span></span>

Answers with Explanations:

1. What are two adjectives that describe the song, The Hunters of Kentucky?

The song was used by General Andrew Jackson in his campaigns for the presidential position.

The <u>two adjectives</u> that would describe the song, "The Hunters of Kentucky," are <em>"bold"</em> and <em>"truthful."</em> It shows the courage of the <em>Kentucky boys</em> and how they are willing to fight for the people in the cities.

2. Also, what story does the song tell?

The song tells about the story of the <em>victory of the Kentuckians</em> during the "Battle of the New Orleans." The war occurred between the British and the Americans.

Under General Andrew Jackson, the Americans won the war. The song tells about <u>how the Americans won against the well-trained troops of Britain.</u> <em>"Kentucky rifles"</em> here refers to<u> Jackson's artillery</u> which was actually significant in winning the war because they were used by the <em>sharpshooters.</em>
