In Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness, an unnamed narrator listens to Marlow’s tale of journeying into the Congo and meeting a my
frez [133]

Answer:

The frame narrative process of narration gave multiple ways of seeing the scenes or understanding the plot of the story. This gives a wide view of what the story is dealing with, and provides the readers on the many perspectives of the story.

Explanation:

Frame narration is the form of narrative technique in which one narrator begins the narration of the story, making the frame of the story. Then, the narration shifts to another person, who takes over the role of the narration, while the first narrator remains nearby. Then, the closing narration was taken over by the first narrator.

In Heart of Darkness, Conrad used this 'narrative within a narrative' technique to present the scenes of the story. Even though there is no proof that the initial narrator of the story is Conrad himself, the identity of the anonymous narrator has been claimed by most critics that it is Conrad himself. This narrator sometimes merge with the character of Marlow, who is the second narrator of the story.

This frame narrative allows the presentation of the story in such a way that the perspective moves from the narrator to Marlow, giving the readers a multi-window on the scene. It provides the readers with multiple viewpoints on the events of the story.

Bakit iniidolo si manny pacquiao bilang isang boxingero. English please thanks.
sergeinik [125]

Well I did some reaserch on Manny and to be honest he’s a really good looking guy. I think that for having so many titles he must be tough, brave, courageous and a person that constantly works out and challenges himself. He seems to be determined as well. I mean he’s not just a boxer but a senator so this shows you he wants to make things better for the people. He also seems patriotic of his country having in consideration that he worked in the military also.

Mekhanik [1.2K]

The part of this excerpt from William Dean Howells's "Editha" that uses figurative language is: The air was thick with the war feeling, like the electricity of a storm which has not yet burst.

In this excerpt from the text, we see an extensive use of Metaphor in the sentence. Metaphor refers to a form of comparison where one thing is said to be another. Metaphor is not to be understood on the surface.

The reader ought to study the things being compared to identify the similarity between them.

In the text above, the description of the air as thick and the storm as possessing electricity, all demonstrate metaphor.
