Answer:

14 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Hiked in the morning: h

Hiked in the afternoon: 6

                                     25% less than in the morning

                                         (less than means subtract from the morning)

                                6 = h-25%h

  6 = h - .25 h

Combine like terms

6 = .75h

Divide each side by .75

6/.75 = .75h/.75

8 =h

She hike 8 in the morning and 6 in the afternoon for a total of (6+8) =14

ruslelena [56]
Bill and Amy travel the same distance from home to school of 14.4 kilometers. Amy takes 40 minutes of time to arrive to school which means she has a rate of 14.4 km /40 minutes or 6 meters/ second. Bill takes a total 60 minutes to arrive to school. Hence Bill's rate is equal to 14.4 km/60 minutes or 4 meters/ second.Amy's is 2 m/s faster than Bill's speed, then.

After jumping rope for 15 minutes, Jan took a break. If Jan took a break at 3:05 p.M., at what time did she start jumping rope?
Kitty [74]

Answer: 2 : 50 pm

Step-by-step explanation:

If Jan took a break at 3:05 pm and she had been jumping rope for 15 minutes before that, to find the time she started jumping rope, subtract 15 from the current time:

= 3:05 - 15

= 2:50 pm

Jan started jumping rope at 2 : 50 pm

Homework: Geometry, part I (Perimeter)
Sindrei [870]

Answer:

(I don't know if this is correct)

To find the length of the rectangle, you need to first do 20 x 2 = 40 because when you finding the perimeter you have to do W + L + W + L = P (or Wx2 + Lx2 = P). You then subtract 40 from 68 (68 - 40) where you get 28 left. you then just divide 28/2 and you get 14. I may be way off but that's how I learned it.
