Answer:

Explanation:

The computations are shown below:

(A) Activity rates:

Fabrication = $1,200,000 ÷ 80,000 = $15 per dlh

Assembly  = $48000,000 ÷ 80,000 = $6 per dlh

Setup =  = $400,000 ÷ 1,000 = $400 per setup

Materials Handling  = $320,000 ÷ 1,600 = $200 per move

(B) Factory overhead cost per unit:

Standard:

Overhead total costs: 20,000 × $15 + 60,000 × $6 + 120 × $400 + 200 × $200 = $748,000

Overhead cost per unit = $748,000 ÷ 20,000 = $37.40

Deluxe:

Overhead total costs: 60,000 × $15 + 20,000 × $6 + 880 × $400 + 1400 × $200 = $1,652,000

Overhead cost per unit = $1,652,000 ÷ 20,000 = $82.60

Mashcka [7]

Each year, the employer awards its top salesperson an all-expense-paid trip to Jamaica.

  • This should be considered as part of the employees' compensation (and the employee should be taxed), therefore, the company can deduct 100% of it.

The employer has a cafeteria for its employees where meals are furnished at cost.

  • Cafeteria meals are not included in the 50% deduction.

Every Christmas, the employer gives each employee a fruitcake.

  • It is a fringe benefit, although I doubt that the employees are taxed for receiving a fruit cake. There is no 50% deduction. (referred to as de minimis fringe benefit)

The taxpayer gives business gifts to her clients at Christmas.

  • Business gives are not subject to a 50% deduction, instead they are subject to a $25 limit.

Due to impending labor strife over planned layoffs in its Silicon Valley headquarters, a social networking company has decided t
Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

putting a halt on the layoffs

Explanation:

This strategy should begin by putting a halt on the layoffs. This should be top priority since the layoffs themselves are the main cause for the criticism that the company is receiving and this criticism is the sole reason as to why its market position and staff productivity has fallen drastically. People think the company is failing and the staff is scared that they will eventually be fired. By stopping layoffs and waiting for a market recovery you give other better options a chance to arise and more efficient strategies to take effect.

Could the product flow operate independently from other channel flows?
11111nata11111 [884]
It could, as long as it fulfills these two conditions
- The products could generate enough profit without the boost that givenn by other channel flows.
- The independent operation would not cause a decrease in profit for other channels flow because eventually, business owners only want to do the combination that bring the most profit.
