Answer:

Increased deficits can be expected when members of the baby boom generation begin to retire in large members.

Explanation:

The fact that a large number of baby boomers (people born between 1946 and 1964) are recently retired or about to retire would imply an imminent deficit in government finances.

This would happen because a large part of these people would benefit from the Social Security system, which would imply a larger disbursement by the federal government in this matter. In addition, the withdrawal of these people would in turn imply a lower number of contributors to the system, which would generate a mismatch in the number of economic revenues and expenditures in the system, causing the subsequent deficit.

It is foreseeable that a possible consequence of this situation will be none other than a tax increase or a re-inflation of contributions to the Social Security system, with the objective of financing the government so that this system could be maintained. In one way or another, this event will generate a negative impact on the economy, either directly to the government or to society.

As Baby Boomers begin to retire, you can expect to see increased deficits. This is due to the fact that a large retired population will be drawing on Social Security benefits that they have paid into throughout their working lives. Increased health costs will also require increased expenditures on the part of the state.

a) Describe the process that led to the Supreme Court's ruling on the challenge to the affordable care act
azamat

Answer:

The constitutionality of the Act was challenged by states based on two main grounds: 1. The issue of individual mandate; and 2. Mandatory expansion of medicaid by states.

Explanation:

The Affordable Healthcare Act otherwise known as Obamacare was a health reform Act that came into force in 2010 under the Obama administration in the United States of America which made provision for affordable health insurance for every citizen of America, and also expanded the scope of eligibility for medicaid in the United States of America. The constitutionality/legality of the Act was challenged by a total of about 26 states of the United States of America particularly on the ground that the Act imposed sanctions on states which failed to expand the medicaid, and on the ground of individual mandate to purchase health insurance violated the original Clause.

However, concerning the issue of individual mandate to buy health insurance, the Supreme Court of America upheld the constitutionality of the ACA on the ground that the congress has the valid and constitutional power to impose tax.

On the other hand, on the issue of mandatory expansion of medicaid by states, the court stated that it was optional and not mandatory for states to chose to expand the medicaid, thereby declaring the mandatory medicaid expansion by states unconstitutional.

Their thoughts can't be hundred percent sure without the diaries but they had thoughts on how much hardship they would have to go through the trip across mountains and rocky paths, they also had to survive with minimal resources, so their thoughts on this was probably brave and rough trip, they had no clue if they were gonna survive or what was gonna happen, they territory was unknown.
