Shelly just completed her Master’s in Business Administration. She was at the top of her class. Shelly was offered a job in lots

of leading firms in the city, but she decided to follow her love of sports and apply for a position with her local professional sports franchise. When she applied for a vacant sales manager position, she was refused the job and instead offered a job as a secretary of the sales manager. This was a gross waste of her immense talents and skills.
In the above scenario, Shelly is a victim of
discrimination.

Answer:

Yes. We can agree on the statement that suggests Shelly is a victim of discrimination. Especially, gender discrimination.

Explanation:

Gender discrimination means treating differently and biased based on the gender of a person. in this case, we can see that it has happened because Shelly is a girl.

The job role of secretary has traditionally been stereotyped as a role for "Women" and most of the managerial positions are traditionally perceived to be "male dominant" and not for females.

In this scenario, although Shelly is more than qualified to become the sales manager of this organization, she is not given that position and is given a lesser position that doesn't require much skills.

Looking at it from a logical perspective, we can say that this is mainly due to Shelly being a woman and the administration of this organization thinks that a woman should be a secretary of a manager rather than becoming the  manager.

As it relates to inventory, a buyer's time expended to prepare the purchase order for more material is considered a(n) ____ cost
OLga [1]

Answer:

"Ordering" is the correct solution.

Explanation:

  • Ordering expenses are incurred in purchasing a new shipment of manufactured goods. This would include expenditures for the attempting to place of a purchase agreement, cost savings for the evaluation including its batches expected to receive, ends up costing for documentary evidence, etc.
  • The cost of ordering correlated negatively with either the cost of transport. This appears to mean because the much more purchases a business location including its providers, the significantly higher the ordering costs will indeed be.

How is health insurance different from auto insurance?
Bess [88]

While both types of insurance are required, if you do not have health insurance, you will be required to pay a fee on your taxes.

FYI, while this used to be true the United States has recently removed the requirement known as the "individual mandate" for people to have health insurance or face a penalty.

zysi [14]

Answer:

Dr supplies expense   $4,100

Cr supplies                                       $4,100

Explanation:

Supplies used in the year needs to be ascertained before any adjusting entry can be posted.

Supplies used=beginning supplies+purchases-ending supplies

beginning supplies is $3,690

purchases of supplies was $1,700

ending balance of supplies was $1,290

supplies used=$3,690+$1,700-$1,290=$ 4,100.00

The used portion of supplies would be debited to supplies expense while supplies inventory is credited with the same amount.
