It is given in this question that angle 1 and angle 2 are linear pair .

LInear pair are those angles , whose sum is 180 degree.

That is sum of measurements of angle 1 and angle 2 must be 180 degree. That is

x-30+x+76=180

Combining like terms

2x+46=180

Subtracting 46 from both sides

2x = 134

Dividing both sides by 2

x=67

So the two angles are

\angle 1 = 67-30=37 degree
\\
\angle 2 = 67+76= 143 degree

Sarah had $100 dollars in her bank account, and she spent $88 dollars on concert tickets. How much money is left in her account?
CaHeK987 [17]

Answer:

12

Step-by-step explanation:

100-88 is basically stating your starting at 100 in the positive direction so you are moving 88 times in the negative direction so the integer would be -88. 100-88 would be 12 meaning she has 12 dollars on her account. Hope this helps.

1. Segment AE is 7 inches and AH is 7^/3 inches. What is the length of EH? Round to the nearest tenth.
Orlov [11]

Answer:

1.) 9.9

2.) 15.6

Step-by-step explanation:

1.) Consider triangle AEH

AEH is a right angle triangle as ∠AEH = 90°

AH is the hypotenuse of the triangle.

Applying Pythagorean theorem

AE^{2} + EH^{2} = AH^{2}

substituting values as given in the question:

7^{2} +EH^{2}=(7\sqrt{3} )^{2}\\EH^{2}=(7\sqrt{3} )^{2}-7^{2} \\EH^{2}=98\\EH=\sqrt{98}\\EH=7\sqrt{2}

∴ EH≈9.9

2.) Consider triangle CDF

CDF is a right angle triangle as ∠CDF = 90°

CF is the hypotenuse of the triangle.

Applying Pythagorean theorem

CD^{2} + DF^{2} = CF^{2}

substituting values as given in the question:

11^{2} +DF^{2}=(11\sqrt{3} )^{2}\\DF^{2}=(11\sqrt{3} )^{2}-11^{2} \\DF^{2}=242\\DF=\sqrt{242}\\DF=11\sqrt{2}

∴ DF≈15.6
