Scandinavians used technology to clear areas to make it more livable, and to help them build up areas. For example:
Steel Axe: Was used for war, cutting down trees, etc.
As Scandinavians used to be "viking lands", they had boats purposely built to make it faster, allowing for faster raids and quick escapes. (i guess it can be used for fishing too lol)

With these, and others, including use of tactics, helped make Scandinavians adapt to their environment, (& strike terror in Europeans as they raid for things that they could not find or produce by themselves)

hope this helps

melomori [17]

Reconstruction Act of 1867 i think because it temporarily divided the South into five military districts and outlined how governments based on universal (male) suffrage were to be organized. The law also required southern states to ratify the 14th Amendment, which broadened the definition of citizenship, granting “equal protection” of the Constitution to former slaves, before they could rejoin the Union. In February 1869, Congress approved the 15th Amendment (adopted in 1870), which guaranteed that a citizen’s right to vote would not be denied “on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.”
