Scandinavians used technology to clear areas to make it more livable, and to help them build up areas. For example:
Steel Axe: Was used for war, cutting down trees, etc.
As Scandinavians used to be "viking lands", they had boats purposely built to make it faster, allowing for faster raids and quick escapes. (i guess it can be used for fishing too lol)

With these, and others, including use of tactics, helped make Scandinavians adapt to their environment, (& strike terror in Europeans as they raid for things that they could not find or produce by themselves)

hope this helps

What general proposed to Senate that he could defeat King Jugurtha in Numidia?
Ber [7]

The general who proposed to the Senate that he could defeat King Jugurtha in Numidia was Gaius Marius.

Who was Gaius Marius?

Gaius Marius was a Roman statesman and general in the Roman army who was much loved by the Roman people for having defeated the Numidians under their leader, King Jugurtha.

The Senate did not like Gaius Marius however, and when he suggested that he could defeat King Jugurtha in Numidia in a proposal, they refused to give him and army. He then called for civilian volunteers and did it anyway to the annoyance and embarrassment of the Senate.
