The month of Ramadan is important to Muslims because Fasting during Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. There is also a verse in the Quran that prescribes fasting for all Muslims who are mature and healthy enough to fast for the full day.  So Muslims fast as an act of worship, a chance to get closer to God and a way to become more compassionate to those in need. Fasting is also seen as a way to learn patience and break bad habits.

Ramadan is usually referred to as the 9th month of the Muslim calendar and is considered to be holy. It is the time when they keep fasting. This fasting is usually kept for a full day by all those who are physically fit and mature enough. The month of Ramadan starts as well as ends with the appearance of the new moon.

It is a religious practice and is a way of worshiping God. It also helps them to enhance their patience level and eliminating their bad habits.  

By the end of the Ramadan month, they break their fast by celebrating their one of the main festival which is commonly known as Eid-al-Fitr, where they prepare various food items, buys new clothes and also exchanges gifts with their near and dear ones.

Thus, the month of Ramadan is very important for the Muslim people and ends with their main festival with love and happiness.
