In a hypothetical breed of dogs, coat color is controlled by two genes. There are six different coat colors in this breed: black
Andru [333]

The correct statements are C and F.

There are two elementary types of pigments, which are responsible for the color of the coat, that is, phaeomelanin and eumelanin. Eumelanin is basically a black pigment and cells produced by it are responsible for a black dog coat color. However, there are genes that result in changes in eumelanin to produce brown, gray, or dusty pale brown coat color. The genes responsible for this change leads to the modifications in the creation of the eumelanin in the cells.

Due to this reason, dusty pale brown and gray dogs are considered as dilutes. Eumelanin can also be witnessed in eyes and nose. On the basis of the genes in dogs, the nose can be brown, black, dusty pale brown, or gray. The other pigments, that is, phaeomelanin is red. Most of the dogs exhibit both phaeomelanin and eumelanin, and the manner in which these two pigments get amalgamated is controlled by agouti locus.

The white color in dogs is not stimulated by any pigment, but by the cells that do not possess the capability to produce any kind of pigment. The entire animal can be affected in a different manner to albinos, or it can be restricted like the white coat patterns.

The correct statements regarding the mode of inheritance of the coat color genes are:

1) One of the genes modifies the expression of the other.

2) One of the genes is autosomal, and the other is X-linked.

Desde captar el estimulo hasta efectuar una respuesta, la secuencia que sigue en el impulso nervioso es?
Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

What type of behavior was among the first to evolve among the earliest(most primitive) animals?
Vlad [161]

Solution:

Primitive animals are ones that have not changed dramatically over the millennia and remain very similar to their ancestors.

The first members of the human lineage lack many features that distinguish us from other primates. Although it has been a difficult quest, we are closer than ever to knowing the mother of us all. Until recently, the evolutionary events that surrounded the origin of the hominin lineage — which includes modern humans and our fossil relatives — were virtually unknown, and our phylogenetic relationship with living African apes was highly debated. Gorillas and chimpanzees were commonly regarded to be more closely related to each other due to their high degree of morphological and behavioral similarities, such as their shared mode of locomotion — knuckle-walking. But with the advent of molecular studies it has become clear that chimpanzees share a more recent common ancestor with humans, and are thus more closely related to us than they are to gorillas (e.g., Bailey 1993, Wildman et al. 2003). The similarities between the living African apes were thought to have been inherited from a common ancestor (=primitive features), implying that the earliest hominins and our last common ancestor shared with chimpanzees had features that were similar, morphologically and behaviorally, to the living African apes (Lovejoy 2009). With the discoveries of the earliest hominin species discussed below, it is now possible to critically examine these assumptions.

Describe how the genotypes RR and Rr result in the same phenotype.
Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

The parents. Describe how the genotypes RR and Rr result in the same phenotype. Because if there is one dominant then it shows the dominant trait not the recessive trait. Summarize how polygenic inheritance differs from Mendelian inheritance.
