How does matter move through the biosphere and how does energy move through the biosphere?

Biology

The flow of energy moves through living organisms via the food chain. A food chain is a diagram which shows how every living thing gets energy to live. Plants use the sun, nutrients in the soil and water to generate energy. Herbivores eat the plants to generate energy to survive. Carnivores eat the herbivores to generate energy.
Matter moves through the biosphere by being cycled through various organic and inorganic stages. They are neither created nor destroyed. The biosphere is known as a closed system so no elements can escape. They are continually being recycled.

What a vestigial structure? How does it support evolution?
atroni [7]
A vestigial structure is a structure that kind-of just "hangs out" in our bodies. We don't really need it, yet it is there. So, why is it there??? We probably needed it, for example, when we needed to digest plants. (Appendix) Some say that the appendix was used for digesting plants and berries, but it is really just speculation. We "evolved" to not need the appendix.
Here are some other vestigial examples: wisdom teeth, tail bone, pelvic bone in a snake, and wings on a flightless bird.
I hope this helped, if it did not let me know!!
I hope you have a fantastical day!!!XD

How would you draw a pie chart of the organisms in a cheetah
charle [14.2K]

Answer:

But a pie chart about an animal is highly unlikely because a pie chart is used for math.

Explanation:

Pie charts are generally used to show percentage or proportional data and usually the percentage represented by each category is provided next to the corresponding slice of pie. Pie charts are good for displaying data for around 6 categories or fewer.(Just so you know what to add)

What is the mammalian supertree
Ghella [55]
The supertree would just be a tree of all mammals. The cyn. would be at the very base of the tree, one of the first branches. (though this is poor phylogenetic theory since you cannot have extinct species in a tree)
