Answer: They experienced political oppression by the East German government.

The standard of living in West Germany was higher than in East Germany.

Explanation: After the division of Germany into East and West, communism was imposed in East Germany, the citizens were not asked, of course, whether they agreed with it or not. After the fierce opposition of the East and the West, due to ideological differences and the creation of the Iron Curtain, the Soviet Union blocked any influence of the West in the Eastern countries. Anyone who opposes a different opinion from the communist, in East Germany, would be prosecuted. Also, apart from political dictatorship, people's life was not like in Western Germany, which is about wealth and living conditions.

According to this Article, if someone committed a crime in Connecticut and then fled across state lines into Rhode Island,
s344n2d4d5 [400]

According to this Article, if someone committed a crime in Connecticut and fled across state lines into Rhode Island, Rhode Island must extradite the fugitive to Connecticut to face trial and sentence.

What is Extradition?

Extradition refers to the U.S. Constitution clause that requires states to cooperate when a criminal runs away from justice.

Like the Extradition Clause, the Fugitive Slave Clause was designed to check runaway enslaved persons, but it soon changed to a constitutional requirement for states to extradite fugitives and runaway enslaved persons.

Internationally, extradition is carried out between cooperating nations that have signed extradition treaties with each other.

Thus, this article shows that if someone committed a crime in Connecticut and fled across state lines into Rhode Island, Rhode Island must extradite the fugitive to Connecticut to face justice.

Why was the battle of Korea an important Cold War event?
Ket [755]
The war cost more than 2 million lives and ruined the economy of Korea for twenty years. It also had implications for a wider conflict, the Cold War. The main protagonists of that political, economic, military and ideological contest, the Soviet Union And the United States of America, intervened in the Korean War. The Soviet Union and its ally China backed North Korea, while the United States gathered an alliance under the auspices of the United Nations (UN) to support the south

( I don't know if this is 100% correct but...)
