Explanation:

Mitosis is the simplest and quickest mode of cell division. In this process a parent cell divides in such a way that it produces two daughter cells which are exactly the same as that of parent cell. They even have the same amount of genetic material i.e the chromosome.

While in meiosis, the second form of cell division four daughter cells are formed from one parent cell with just the half number of chromosomes as that of the parent cell.
