What would have been an advantage to living in an ethnic enclave?
il63 [147K]

Answer:

One of the main advantages of living in an ethnic enclave is the protection of discrimination that provides the community living in the ethnic enclave.

Every ethnic enclave is a form of segregation. The unicity of the enclave and the particular identity of its community provide unique opportunities and social rights for being part of this community. If you are being discriminated for being part of a specific culture thus you can not get a job in a mainstream city company, your ethnic enclave community could provide you a job offer just for being part of it.

Who were the group that the southerners called carpetbaggers
dybincka [34]
I had to look it up :) A Carpetbagger was a Northerner that moved to the south after the Civil War. From what I understand the name Carpetbagger was used because these Northerner's carried bags (luggage). I'm still thinking it was the Republicans. Look it up though to be sure. <span>
