Answer : The value of ∠CAB is, 12°

Step-by-step explanation :

The following combinations of the congruent triangle facts will be sufficient to prove triangles congruent.

The combinations are:

(1) SSS (side-side-side) : If three sides of a triangle are congruent to three sides of another triangle then the triangles are congruent.

(2) SAS (side-angle-side) : If two sides and included angle of a triangle are congruent to another triangle then the triangles are congruent.

(3) ASA (angle-side-angle) : If two angles and included side of a triangle are congruent to another triangle then the triangles are congruent.

(4) RHS (right angle-hypotenuse-side) : If the hypotenuse and leg of one right triangle are congruent to the corresponding parts of another right triangle, the right triangles are congruent.

First we have to prove ΔADC ≅ ΔABC

Prove : ΔADC ≅ ΔABC

As,

Side AB = Side AD (side = 9)

Side AC = Side AC (common side)

∠D = ∠B                     (90°)

That means, in this two sides and included angle of a triangle are equal to another triangle then the triangles are congruent.

ΔADC ≅ ΔABC (by SAS rule)

And, ∠CAD = ∠CAB  (by CPCT)

So, ∠CAD = ∠CAB = 12°

Answer:

It would be 12 as well

Step-by-step explanation:

If CD=BC then CAD=CAB.

I hope that helps. Let me know if it is right.

Solve the inequality for u.
7u - 32< - 3(6-3u)
Simplify your answer as much as possible.
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Answer:

u > - 7

Step-by-step explanation:

7u - 32 < - 3(6-3u)

7u - 32 < - 18 + 9u

18-32 < - 7u + 9u

-14 < 2u

2u > - 14

u > - 7

An airplane changes in altitude before landing is shown.what equation represents this change in altitude
erastovalidia [21]

Answer:

We have been given a table that represents the altitude of an airplane with passing minutes.

Since we know that equation of a line in slope-intercept form is: y=mx+b, where, m = Slope of the line and b = y-intercept.

To find the equation of line we will have to the slope of our given line using values from table.

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}, where,

y_2-y_1 = Change in two y-coordinates.

x_2-x_1 = Change in the corresponding x-coordinates.

Upon substituting the coordinates of point (1, 35000) and (2, 31000) we will get our slope as:

m=\frac{31000-35000}{2-1}

m=\frac{-4000}{1}=-4000

Now let us find y-intercept of our given line by substituting m=-4000 and the coordinates of point (1, 35000) in slope intercept form of equation.

31000=-4000*1+b

31000=-4000+b

31000+4000=-4000+4000+b

35000=b

Upon substituting the value of slope and y-intercept the equation of line will be:

a=-4000m+35,000

Therefore, the equation representing the change in altitude a after m minutes is a=-4000m+35,000 and option A is the correct c

For each situation, state the null and alternative hypotheses: (Type "mu" for the symbol μ , e.g. mu > 1 for the mean is grea
Nitella [24]

Answer:

Part (A) H_0:\mu=2.5 and H_a:\mu\neq2.5

Part (B) H_0:\mu=16.35 and H_a:\mu

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

Null hypothesis refers the population parameter is equal to the claimed value.

If there is no statistical significance in the test then it is know as the null which is denoted by H_0, otherwise it is known as alternative hypothesis denoted by H_a.

Part (A): The diameter of a spindle in a small motor is supposed to be 2.5 millimeters (mm) if the spindle is either too small or too large, the motor will not work properly.

Thus, the required null and alternative hypothesis are:

H_0:\mu=2.5 and H_a:\mu\neq2.5

Part (B) The nationwide average price of a certain brand of laundry detergent is $16.35 and Harry thinks that prices in Caldwell are lower than the rest of the country.

Thus, the required null and alternative hypothesis are:

H_0:\mu=16.35 and H_a:\mu
