According to sociologist George Herbert Mead, in the "preparatory" stage of self development, interactions lack meaning and children largely imitate the people around them.

George Herbert Mead was keen on the manner by which we created self-awareness. Mead trusted that our feeling of self was principally created through our social exercises. Mead estimated that there are three phases of self-development that we go through amid youth:

1) Preparatory Stage(about age 2 or less).

2) Play Stage(about age 2 through 6)

3) Game Stage(about age 7 and more)

Why is size an important feature of a population?
klasskru [66]
Population size is closely linked to its rate of change. If the population is below the threshold for the resources available, it will increase in size ... The more distance between the actual size and the threshold, the greater the rate of increase. If the population is above its threshold, it will start to decrease in size. The threshold will be the equilibrium position so it will tend to wave up and down until it gets to the equilibrium. The reason real life populations don't do this is because the resources are changing all the time so the equilibrium is a moving target.

Travka [436]
